ALN History

The   American Leadership Network (ALN) is a 3rd generation organization stemming from the pro-active efforts of two military veterans, a 4-star Marine General, Ray Davis, and an Air Force Major, Walt Myers.  They challenged all American Veterans to again come to the aid of their country.  They called veterans to serve one more time.

General Ray Davis was the highest decorated veteran alive at the time (medal of honor, navy cross, 5 Presidential citations, 14 campaign ribbons, two silver stars, a bronze star, and the purple heart).  The General reminded all veterans that we are still under oath and that we have allowed too many domestic enemies to be loose within our own country. To understand the history of the ALN, one must first learn the history of the Constitutionalist Networking Center (CNC). It resulted from a special meeting called by Walt Myers, which began on Constitution day (9/17), 1993 in Kansas City, MO. The meeting was attended by about 250 men and women who understood the spiritual nature of mankind's fight for freedom.  They were witnessing the transformation of the United states of America from being a REPUBLIC in which life, liberty, and private ownership of property were to be paramount into a nation-state of global governance that was becoming morally, institutionally, philosophically and financially broke while operating under all ten planks of the Communist Manifesto. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and refine a draft plan designed to empower Americans wishing to Take America Back (TAB) to its lawfully constitutional form of government and traditional values. The draft plan had been prepared by retired Major Walter Myers who had planning expertise with the Air Force.  Step 1 of the plan called for the creation of a National Leadership Team having three primary responsibilities.

  1. Function as a catalyst to bring together the leaders of other truly concerned organizations who shared common fundamental beliefs.
  2. Research to clearly understand the problem and the cause of the problem facing America then determine corrective action implemented while operating within the limits prescribed by the Constitution.
  3. Host what the plan calls Coordinating Conferences.

The initial meeting’s attendees created the CNC as a membership by invitation only organization.  The CNC defined its MISSION as being to develop clout by promoting cooperation and coordination among the organizations that are truly concerned over America’s departure from the principles and procedures set forth in its organic Constitution (Declaration of Independence, The Preamble, Constitution and Bill of Rights).  We would use this clout to restore honesty and integrity throughout America’s culture, especially in its governing institutions. Chosen to serve on the National Leadership Team were former Arizona governor Evan Mecham (CNC Chairman), State Sen. Don Rogers, (R-CA), retired Judge J. J. Boesel; Jim Thomas, President of Tree Top Communications; Dr. Greg Dixon, Chairman of the American Coalition of Unregistered Churches; John Voss, Director, National Commodity and Barter Assn; and Mr. Myers who is the CNC’s Executive Director.   The CNC adopted the following as fundamental beliefs upon which to base its position on issues and actions.

  1. The Declaration of Independence is our Nation's birth certificate and the cornerstone of our Constitution. For lawful government to exist it must strictly comply with the principles and policies set forth in the Constitution’s Preamble and the Bill of Rights.
  2. The United States of America was clearly intended to be “one Nation under God” as stated in our founders writings, speeches, and documents and later the Pledge of Allegiance.  Our coinage declaring ”In God We Trust”  is further evidence of a God fearing nation.
  3. There can only be one set of Supreme laws for any nation. For the U.S., the set includes our Declaration of Independence, The Preamble, Constitution and Bill of Rights.
  4. Through the Constitution, the States created the federal government as their AGENT. As the principals to the Constitution and under the Law of Agency, our States and their people possess the ultimate authority and responsibility for the proper interpretation and implementation of the Constitution.
  5. In consideration of the power granted to the Federal government by the States, each State is guaranteed a Republican form of government by Art. IV, Sec. 4 of the Constitution.
  6. Treaties, being the purview of the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, cannot lawfully create new or modify existing law. Any pretense to use them to do so is an unlawful act.
  7. The Federal government cannot lawfully compel the States to enact or administer a Federal regulatory program. Departure from the Constitution cannot be ratified by consent of State officials.
  8. The Constitution's 10th Amendment stating "the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution.... Are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people" provides incontestable evidence that the only lawful powers of the Federal Government are those specifically enumerated in the Constitution of the United States.
  9. No elected or appointed Federal official or Agent has any lawful authority to either dissolve or distort the Constitution, its purposes, or its Preamble.
The CNC chose to define America’s problem as being the deliberate, systematic and unconstitutional mismanagement of America, by its national leaders, to the detriment of its people and for the benefit of the world’s financial/industrial cartel.

On 11-22-94, CNC was given added credence by America’s 30 Republican governors in a document known as the “Williamsburg Resolve.” In it they said:

“The challenges to the liberties of the people... comes from our own Federal government that has defied, and now ignores, virtually every constitutional limit fashioned by the framers to confine its reach and thus to guard the freedoms of the people” and that “Federal action has exceeded the clear bounds of... the Constitution, and thus violated the rights guaranteed to the people. The government of ‘limited, delegated powers‘ has become a government of virtually unlimited power.”

The governors then pledged “to restore to the states and the people the prerogatives and freedoms guaranteed them under the Constitution.” A key element of the CNC plan was eleven Objective Pursuit Teams. Staffed by notable affiliates including: former Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court William Goodloe; Mr. Larry Becraft; Dr. Gene Schroder; Dr. James Patrick; Mr. Byron Dale; Mr. Jim Collier (co-author of VoteScam, the Stealing of America), retired USMC General Ray Davis (a former Commandant of the USMC) and founder of About Face America; Mr. Larry Pratt, Director of Gun Owners of America; Nye County Commissioner Dick Carver; retired Navy Capt. Merton Short; Mr. John Rakus; Charlena Alden and Terry Sanders of Citizens Against Legal Loopholes; and former Colorado State Sen. Charles Duke.
