Constitution Because of our Constitution, America has the best form of government man has ever implemented. Nations of the world have marveled at America’s success for 225 years. How oh how then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 225 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional. The Declaration of Independence is our nation’s birth certificate and the organic foundation for our constitution. For lawful government to exist, and serve well, there must be strict compliance with the precepts set forth in the Declaration. Preamble: We The People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America. No elected or appointed federal official or agent has any lawful authority to dissolve the Constitution or diminish the purposes as set forth in the Constitution or its preamble. Perhaps it has been our failure to preserve and pass on the correct structure of constitutional government. The Problem: - The best and most successful constitution ever written by man is being criticized by egregious voices in America.
- The intent of the Constitution is not given proper respect in Judicial, political, liberty, moral, and sovereignty issues.
- Judges, lawyers, and politicians are maliciously running roughshod over the Constitution.
- The Presidential Executive Orders are usurping lawmaking away from the congress.
- The Judicial, through precedent setting rulings is making law. The Constitution clearly states congress is the only lawmaking body.
- We as a people have lost our morality and ethics. "Our Constitution will only serve a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate to any other" … John Q. Adams
The Cause: - We the people are careless in holding Judges and elected officials to their oath of office to honor and uphold our Constitution.
- Lawyers, Judges, Elected officials and organizations such as the ACLU show egregious disrespect for the intent of the Constitution.
- Some leaders treat the Constitution as a living document subject to the whims of every judge’s interpretation.
- Our justice system has become a system showing favor to the lawbreakers at the expense of victims. Thus the term “criminal justice.”
- The separation of power is no longer being observed as intended by our founding Fathers.
- Congress, the only lawmaking body under the constitution, has carelessly relinquished its authority to the judicial and executive branches. The courts and the Presidents are making laws.
- We the people are not good stewards of our Constitutional rights, our sovereignty, and freedoms guaranteed to us.
- This eroding moral base coupled with gross Constitutional illiteracy is perhaps the greatest threat to the loss of Constitutional government.
Possible Solutions: - Teach the founding documents to all ages.
Elect and appoint political leaders and judges who are strict Constitutionalists. Remove from office those in authority who rule outside the Constitution. Revive our Constitution because it is our obvious symbol of liberty (freedom of worship, movement and speech) There must also be an understanding and strict compliance with the principles set forth in the constitutions preamble. The preamble serves a vital role as the structural foundation of the Constitution. Constitutional government must have a sufficient moral base among its citizenry to sustain such government.
