We men of faith must stand up for our values and our traditions less they be washed away in a sea of fear and relativism.” Dr. Ron Paul, US Congressman When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th, 1848, deposited within it were many items including the Holy Bible, presented by the Bible Society. The Problem: - The Church is losing its public image battle and the respect among a diversified American culture. Christian families and Churches have not been able to stand against the propaganda onslaught of anti-Christian schools. Independent studies have shown that we are losing the culture war for the minds & hearts of our children.
The Cause: - The 501-c3 Government Corporation has silenced most of our spiritual leaders, and members. They have accepted tax-deductible contributions, which lead to IRS control.
- The courts, the political arena, the media and Hollywood have demonized, criticized and over-powered the Church in its effort to teach moral, ethical, and biblical values.
- The American courts have ruled that God & morality must go.
- The Church is failing to teach the whole truth on biblical issues.
- Egregious individuals such as atheist Michael Newdow and false Rev. Barry Lynn, along with organizations such as ACLU, National Association for the separation of Church and state, Southern Poverty Law Center, are aggressive in their effort to ban Christian symbols and Christian music from our public arena.
- The Pastor is expected to be well versed in many issues such as business, finance, construction, spiritual nurturing, loving and caring personality, and on and on, causing him to be less biblically prepared.
- The seminaries have been infiltrated with doctrine that is not Biblically sound causing deception of the Christian people so that they hesitate to address political and cultural issues.
- Americans have bought the line; “there are two things Christians should not talk about in social gatherings, politics and religion.” (We must debate these issues because of the major influence in our lives.)
- Public school teachers are forbidden, by law, to share Christian values. The Supreme Court has ruled the Bible and Christian values out of our public school system.
- Money and earthly possessions have become a major focus.
- We have moved from an “act of first giving” to an “act of first getting” philosophy.
Possible Solutions: - Encourage Churches to avoid the 501-c3 government corporation Church
- Pastors must not be afraid to speak the whole truth.
- Teach true Biblical doctrine
- Arouse Church membership to get involved teaching young minds on founding documents, work ethics, altruistic services, etc.
- Stay vigilant in political matters so that your vote is an informed vote.
